[What's wrong, sinner? Wish to communicate with Gundam via telepathic amulet or messenger bird or even in person? Then come on over here and specify the format!]
[That's so raven! Well, the bird is a brave one and will stick around long enough to get the letter, but keeping its distance from the pocket monsters.]
Greetings Mortal,
I am able to survive in any environment, but it is certainly helpful to have allies on close call. I too have a busy schedule that is filled with many dark errands. Yet I am still willing to negotiate a joint excursion at a different earthly hour! If the wurms do not improve with those herbs, I would also like to ask that you contact me immediately!
Fascinating. It seems that this island has quite the selection of interesting beasts, much unlike the previous one I was taken too. So far, I have stayed within the city limits in order to recharge my demonic entities. However, I have seen some sightings of the cerberus, the hellcat, the serpent, and avians who have been blessed by the feather of the phoenix! This is only the beginning, of course!
I would like to send my regards back to Jolteon!
-The Dark Lord of the Taboo Realm, Gundam Tanaka
(Ice is but one element that I possess an affinity for!)
[ Aww, he cares about the wurms. That's nice to read. ]
Gundam Tanaka, the one and only with a lot of titles,
I'll keep you updated about the wurms! Charizard flies quick and we're going to stay overnight and get as many as we can find. We're going to do our best!
I've read the name cerberus before, but I don't know which kind of cat the hellcat is. Cerberus are the big dogs monster, aren't they? With the multiple heads. I didn't know anyone lived with a tamed one in the city! There's a big dog with horns called Fluffy that I visit sometimes but I don't know what breed he is. He loves playing fetch though. And what bird is a phoenix?
I'm going to head out now and I don't want your raven friend to follow me all the way to the mountains, so I'll write to you again in a couple of days to let you know that the wurms got some medicine, and we can keep talking about animals then! Tell me what your raven's nickname is and what food they like so I can keep some with me. The friend who came to you is nicknamed Nephras (his real name is really long) and he likes dried cranberries, dried seaweed or worms.
Red of Pallet Town, Kanto
[ Gundam you're not going to send your raven off anyway, are you. ]
[ The quest through the mountains takes longer than expected, but perhaps it should have been for the amount that was required, the vast size of the terrain, as well as the quantity of ingredients requested to help comfort the ill creatures.
But their size and count gives Red a reason to stay that far out, everything carefully sealed in their own packs and tied up safely within the string bag he carries with them now, a few extra herbal medicines inside to talk over with the main client that had gotten him to accept the task. He gets pointed by another worker as to where to find them, gives the person thanks and continues walking to meet them --
and finds himself amazed when he sees the sight of the specific someone that's also there, taking him a quick second to question himself. But there's no mistaking that hairdo, whether or not the Ultimate Breeder has taken at all to the Shaarnathian dress sense. ]
Gundam?
[ He won't keep his distance; he'll be coming over, giving a nod and a hello to the Shaarnath wurm tamer, who speaks out to Red with recognition. ]
[Gundam Tanaka does not bother with any alternate fashions. He wears the same clothes as always. He hasn't been in Sharnaath for over a day, as this was the primary reason for his visit; he really wants to see the wurms for himself, and also to provide his own second opinion on their health. He's at least been somewhat respectful towards the animal tamer, because a mystical beast's life is in his hands.
Once he hears that familiar voice, Gundam turns to face Red in a very smug manner, with his arms crosses and a light smirk on his face.]
[Surely they can find inspiration from his normal wicked appearance!]
That is what I am here to determine. [He states cooly.] Thus far, it would seem that it is as you said. Their condition is far less than ideal, and an elixir needs to be brewed at once!
[ Then-- their condition was still stable? Red will believe that, giving Gundam a nod and a hum in response before approaching the pair of them with the bag resting on a hand. He uses the other to pull at the strings to open it, to reveal the carefully sealed ingredients inside. ]
I got the flowers for the nectar, but I don't know what to do with them. Can someone fix that up? [ Said for the NPC, unless Gundam knows a few things about medicine for animals to want to pipe up. But regardless, Red's shifting his hand inside to bring out a hefty bottle. ] I spoke to a specialist I know back on the island before I came here too. These use some of the same ingredients, and they should help the wurms rest if they really need it.
[ He tucks the bottle back in. ] They wrote everything that's in them on some paper inside. I'll help them rest for now if you need time to prepare everything.
[Gundam leans forward carefully, just to get a better look at the stuff Red has brought.]
Hmph... It seems that you've done your job. [He smirks.] Well done...
[And he watches as the caretaker takes the flowers.]
I have brokered an agreement. I will supervise this caretaker's work, in order to make sure that he operates with a divine hand! [Really, the caretaker just agreed that Gundam could watch and learn how to do the thing.]
As for that scroll of materials you mentioned... I would like to peruse it myself! Kehehe... and putting them to a slumber would be ideal, yes.
[ What a poor caretaker, but Gundam's news brightens Red up after giving the client a curious look about his about their apparent agreement. Nothing to complain about that here though! The more the merrier. ]
Alright then! You two can look over everything and I'll go and check on the wurms! [ He backs away with the bag in their possession, giving them both a short bow. ] Do your best!
[ Be rad with the flowers and all the other ingredients over there and Red can be found in the section where the wurm's burrows are located and more wurm handlers, some who can be found singing their own versions of the song used to ease their discomforts.
There will be another guest with them than humans when Gundam should eventually come over too, a large aquatic creature in appearance situated at Red's side with a bowed head, quiet as Red hums to the wurm that's extracted itself halfway out of its home. Its head looks close to laying on Red's lap, legs folded to bring himself comfortably near to the creature as he concentrates on the dunamis he's focusing into his hand being stroked along the length of the wurm's body he can reach.
For as peaceful as it all appears, the tune Red hums is chipper and alive, going from one remembered tune to another. Insert your choice of background music from the game here. Except Lavender Town. ]
[omg but Gundam would be so totally down with the Lavender Town theme
And so the caretaker works on preparing the medicine, while Gundam continually pesters him with questions and occult suggestions. Soon the time comes, and Gundam is allowed to disperse some of the medicine. So he approaches Red and his wurm, and he stops in shock as he sees the creature near him.]
Lapras looks at Gundam before his shock's expressed, quiet amusement falling over her that might be hard to tell, but it's only when he hears him that Red notices him, the surprise on his face turning into an expression more happily curious. ]
Very well! I will entrust you with the name of one of my favored pocket beasts: Houndour, the dark dog that commands the canine minions of Hell itself! [He may have made up some of his own Pokedex entries.]
That certainly sounds like it... It is a creature of the second generation! [At least he's aided by some mental flashes of the image of a Houndour's sprite on a Gameboy Color screen.]
The second generation is the second set of mystical games to be released to humanity! The first set only entrusted mankind with knowledge of the first one hundred and fifty one creatures... The second generation added a hundred more!
[ A good thing this wurm doesn't mind all this nerd talk going on, already happily in their comfort zone. ]
So you find a hundred and fifty one, and then a hundred more? [ ... ] Does that mean you move to a different region? That's it, isn't it? But the first one--! Is that Kanto!?
Pallet Town? Hm... That is the town where adventure begins. [He holds onto his amulet as he sends another projection to Red, of the town in all its 8-bit glory.]
[ A noise chokes in Red's throat, attention on what he's seeing in his mind before he swings his sight onto Gundam. ]
That's nothing like Pallet Town! Here! [ Eyes closing, an image of a view from a cliff side is sent over. ]
This is Pallet Town! Sure, it's the smallest town in Kanto... but it's nice! I live along this road, from the town centre, [ insert a close up of the street here ] and on the other side is the Pokémon Professor's laboratory, Professor Oak. This building!
[Gundam takes in those new mental images with an awed wonder. Just needs more beasts roaming the street, but the town looks beautiful at least.]
What?! It can't be--!! The digital architects could not properly replicate even a fragment of such a town! [He balls up a fist as he dwells on this. Then, he takes a breath and tries to speak with more composure.]
It is... impressive... for a human colony. Should the day come when all worlds burn to the ground, I will ensure that your home falls under the dark lord's protection.
